CALL FOR WALLS
Property and Business Owners
The City of Elk Grove invites building owners in the Main Street District (between Highway 99 and Waterman Road) to participate in Paint the Grove 2026, a citywide mural festival bringing world-class public art to Elk Grove.
Through this program, selected properties will receive a professionally curated mural, valued in the tens of thousands of dollars, at limited cost to the property owner. In exchange, participants agree to host the mural for a minimum of three (3) years and prep their wall to artist-ready standards.
The festival will include community events and programming that activate the district, drawing visitors, generating media attention, and creating new visibility and business opportunities for participating locations.
Approximately 5 to 8 walls will be selected and painted during the week of June 1–6, 2026.
Please complete this short survey to help us understand your interest and wall availability.
As part of the selection process, we will prioritize building owners who are open to artistic interpretation and willing to collaborate with the muralist. Owners who are able to prepare their walls in advance (cleaning, basic repairs, etc.) will also be given priority, as this helps the project move smoothly and efficiently.
